Introduction
This page refers to Motus-Tech linear stage (made in Italy). Figure ##REF:Fig1## shows the stage currently available in the T-SAIL: 700 mm (Fig.##REF:Fig1##). Indicated distance is the travel distance. The travel distance is the largest distance the user can relocate an object using the stage. The aim of this page is to present the existing manuals, and moreover, to give some shortcuts to an inexperienced user.
Technical data
Full model name: MTB42-0700-D2
For stage full specifications please refer to ds_mtb42_-_v1.00.pdf.

Connections
Connection to power supply (DC)
The driver (NDC 96) connects to a DC power supply (see Fig.##REF:powerSupply##).
Start with bridging the ground (GND) and minus (-) channels of the power supply.
Connect the DC power supply plus (+) channel to port 11 of the driver.
Connect the DC power supply minus (-) channel to port 12 of the driver.
Connect the DC power supply ground (GND) channel to the ground of the driver.
(see Fig.##REF:powerSupply##).
Connect the ground of the driver to port 13 in the driver.
(see Fig.##REF:Driver_Back_View##).
Use 24 - 75 [Volts] of DC.
Break Connections:
The break was dismantled (see Fig.##REF:Stage_Break_and_Wiring##).
In order to use it, after placing it back on top of the motor head (see Fig.##REF:Motor_Side_Top_View##), you must connect it to a 24 [Volts] of DC to release it. Otherwise it locks the stage in place (for vertical use of the stage).
Motor Connections
The motor has 4 wires: Red (A); Yellow (A-); Orange (B); Blue (B-);
Connect these wires to the driver in the following manner:
Connect the red wire (A) to port 17 of the driver.
Connect the yellow wire (A-) to port 16 of the driver.
Connect the orange wire (B) to port 15 of the driver.
Connect the blue wire (A-) to port 14 of the driver.
(see Fig.##REF:Motor_Wiring##)
A/D Card Connections
Ports 1-10 of the driver are connected via large black cable bundle.
connect the other side of the bundle to an A/D card in the following manner:
Connect the pink wire (controls travel speed & distance) to counter source of the A/D card (i.e. P2.0/PFI0 in USB-6003).
Connect the white wire (controls travel direction) to digital I/O of the A/D card (i.e. P0.1 in USB-6003).
Connect the blue wire (operates travel) to digital I/O of the A/D card (i.e. P0.0 in USB-6003).
Connect the gray, dark-blue & brown wires (minus signals) to digital ground of the A/D card (i.e. D GND in USB-6003).
